a boost of faith.
Do you need a boost of faith this morning?
I was reading this verse a few days ago, and was so encouraged. Instead of ignoring the things that were contrary to what Abraham was believing for, he considered them. Despite fear or logic, he looked right at those “hindrances,”knowing that God could do the impossible.
This idea came to mind while reading this verse to make it personal to things that I’m believing for right now. So, I encourage you to do the same. Allow the Word to revive and encourage you today.
“Against all hope, Abraham in hope believed and so became the father of many nations, just as it had been said to him, “So shall your offspring be.” Without weakening in his faith, he faced the fact that his body was as good as dead—since he was about a hundred years old—and that Sarah’s womb was also dead. Yet he did not waver through unbelief regarding the promise of God, but was strengthened in his faith and gave glory to God, being fully persuaded that God had power to do what he had promised.”
Romans 4:18-21 NIV
“Against all hope, <insert your name> in hope believed and so became <insert your promise> , just as it had been said to him/her, “<What has God told you?” Without weakening in his/her faith, he/she faced the fact that <What’s a hinderance or two?> — since <WHY are they hinderances> — and that <What else is a hinderance?> Yet he/she did not waver through unbelief regarding the promise of God, but was strengthened in his faith and gave glory to God, being fully persuaded that God had power to do what he had promised.”
