"Take courage, my heart

Stay steadfast, my soul

He's in the waiting

Hold on to your hope

Watch your triumph unfold

He's never failing

You who hold the stars

Who call them each by name

You'll surely keep your promise to me

That I will rise in victory"

-Take Courage, Kristene DiMarco

Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go. -Joshua 1:9

Dismay: to BREAK DOWN the courage of COMPLETELY, typically at something unexpected. To cause someone to feel very disappointed, worried, or upset.

Isn't it crazy how much disappointment affects us? When we operate with disappointment, we have ZERO passion and are so bound by the fear of being let down by people and God that we don't want to leave our "Safe Zone." Without it, we have a "Risk it all!" mentality, so full of hope, faith, love, and vision.

The Safe Zone may seem safe, but in that place, we're not growing or healing. The Holy Spirit is here to take disappointment from each of us, and to restore hope, faith, love, and vision. We don't have to fear moving forward or doing it alone. We don't even have to fear how, or whether or not we can/can't do it. He will equip us to get through each day victoriously as we live in deep dependence on Him. Whether we're in the hallway, or the door has opened, the Lord our God is with us. He's in the waiting, and we will rise to victory.

Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble. -Matthew 6:34
